Co-owners Amber Beltran and Dawn Brooks are committed to helping you become clutter free in 2023.  They are excited to introduce February’s Clutter-Free focus: repurposing items into heartwarming gifts.

Making Clothing Into Gifts

Before getting on-line or venturing out to a store to purchase a gift, take time to consider personal items you have stored away that others would find delight in receiving. Your clothing can be repurposed into meaningful gifts. Some grandparents have made memory pillows out of shirts they no longer wear. They gift the shirt pillows to grandchildren who live long distances from them to remind the children that they are always there for them.

Old jeans can be used in many creative ways. Amber’s daughter’s loved these purses made from repurposed Levis.  Levi Strauss and Co. suggest 15 way to Reuse, Repurpose, and Reimagine your jeans

Photo Books + Journaling

For Valentines’ Day, Co-owner of B&B Organizing, Dawn surprised her husband with a photo book she created through Shutterfly. She reduced an entire shoebox filled with cards and hand-drawn notes from him into a 46-page book. Review this evaluation of photo book publishers to identify which one will best met your needs.

Convert photos of cherished family experiences into scrapbooks or hardbound books with photo journaling entries identifying the individuals in the photos and explaining the significance of the photos. The advantage of developing a hardbound book via an on-line publishing company is that you can gift the book to more than one loved one. Craig Walker provides helpful steps to selecting your best photos.
